Marketing site — hero and value proposition

OVERVIEW

What we built for Wavsen.

Wavsen is a client-approval platform for mix and mastering engineers. Skycrest designed and built the full product experience — a marketing site that sells the pitch in one screen, a producer dashboard that consolidates projects and revisions, a watermarked client portal that makes approvals painless, and a portfolio page every producer can send in place of a Dropbox link.

THE CHALLENGE

Why the category needed a new take.

Producers were juggling WeTransfer links, SoundCloud privates, and email threads to get client approvals. There was no serious, modern tool aimed specifically at mix delivery — every option either felt like a general file host or a heavy DAW-adjacent product. Wavsen needed to feel professional to producers and calm and clear to their clients on the same visual system.

GOALS

What success needed to look like.

  • Own the mix-delivery category with a distinct, professional dark UI
  • Make revisions, timestamped comments, and approvals feel effortless for clients
  • Give producers a dashboard that scales from one client to a full roster
  • Provide portable portfolio pages producers actually want to share

APPROACH

How we worked.

We anchored the visual system on a deep near-black canvas with a teal action color and a purple secondary — legible, quiet, and unmistakably an audio product. Typography leans into a modernist display face for headings and a mono for timestamps and technical labels. From there we built out four coordinated surfaces — marketing site, producer dashboard, client portal, and portfolio page — that all read like they were built by the same team, because they were.

KEY DESIGN SOLUTIONS

The moves that made it click.

Marketing site with a one-screen pitch

Mix. Share. Approved. A calm dark hero with an animated waveform strip, a single-sentence value prop, and clear primary/secondary CTAs (Start Free · View Demo). A rolling latest-news bar keeps the site feeling active without cluttering the hero.

Producer dashboard built for the roster

Clients grouped, projects nested, per-project waveform preview with timestamped comment threads, per-project version tabs, and inline controls for watermark, password, uploads, and downloads. Storage, project counts, and approval status live at the top so producers see revenue and pipeline at a glance.

Watermarked client portal for approvals

A focused single-page client experience: session context, project switcher, waveform with markers, timestamped comments (with @0:00 quoting), and an approval flow that unlocks the balance due panel. Clients see a portal, not a Google Drive.

Portfolio pages producers can send

Selectable A/B mixes, genre tags, service badges (Production · Mixing · Mastering), a hero cover, and a Start a Project CTA — hosted at a Wavsen URL so producers get a professional presence without building a personal site.
